Archeological museums and excavates are opened on Ferragosto in Emilia-Romagna

An August 15tho art, discovering our past, all over Emilia-Romagna. All the archeological heritage, museums and excavates, managed by the Soprintendenza for the archeological heritage of Emilia-Romagna, will be opened on the August 15th in Parma, Piacenza, Marzabotto, Sarasina, Ravenna and Ferrara.

Just in this town, the Museo Archeologico organized the kermesse ‘Tlin…tlin, Ferragosto al Palazzo di Ludovico il Moro’, with a tasting of wine and food from the territory. At 6.00 p.m. started an education al laboratory for children, ‘Costruiamo un mosaico’, to go on, at 7.00 p.m., with a guided visit on the museum. To satisfied the people’s questiona, till midnight there are 3 archaelogists to answer. At 9.00 p.m., a concert for voice and piano, during the tasting. At 10.30 p.m., a show of cabaret. In Marzabotto, the Museo Etrusco ‘Pompeo Aria’, will be opened form 9.00 p.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.. The ancient town of Kaiuna, instead, is opened from 8.00 a.m. till 7.00 p.m.. At 4.30 p.m., a guided visit about women e feminine goddes in the Etruscan society. To reserve, call the number 051932353. Also the Musei Archeologico of Parma, will be opened from 1.00 a.m. till 7.00 p.m., with the exhibit ‘Storie della prima Parma, Etruschi, Galli, Romani’. In the town where was born Plauto, a Roman playwright of the ancient times, Sarsina, it will be possible to visit the Museo Archeologico Nazionale from 1.30 p.m. till 6.30 p.m.; the Antiquarium and the  Roman excavates of Veleia, close to Piacenza, in Lugagnano Val d’Arda, will be opened from 9.00 p.m. till 7.00 p.m.. The same time of opening, but the closing is at 7.30 p.m., the Villa Romana of Russi in RVenna: here, at 3.30 p.m., it will be organized an historical commemoration, ‘Le ferie di Augusto’.
